Pacific Ridge Athletics 2/19/18

PRS Community,

We'd like to invite you out to support the boys basketball team in the DIV 3 playoffs Tuesday night 7:00pm vs Carlsbad HS @ Carlsbad HS.

Our boys have worked very hard this season and as recently a week and a half ago were sitting at 17-6 and in the running for a league title. The past week has not gone perfectly as we stumbled somewhat in the final three games of the regular season. I must say, however, that the whole experience of the last ten days with our team has been very eye-opening. After losing to rival Tri-City last Friday night, the boys chose to come in Saturday morning, their first day of vacation, and shoot for two hours. After learning we'd been paired in the playoffs vs 2700 student Carlsbad High School, our players showed up early Monday morning to break down film, finalize our game plan, and practice together. Our players are great examples of students who are learning the value of commitment, taking risks (in front of loud, packed gyms), and constantly collaborating with each other. Carlsbad has a few players (well actually it looks like about six!) who are 6'4"/6'5". Nonetheless, we believe we can pull this off. We know our guys will play with extreme effort, will play as hard as possible for each other, and will be shining examples of PRS students.
